Abuja, May 17th 2018 – A four day training for staff of state Ministries of health of Bauchi, Cross Rivers, Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) and the National Primary Health care Development Agency has ended in Abuja with calls on the federal government and states to forecast their health workforce requirements to enable governments make informed health plans and policies for the provision of efficient and effective quality health services.

Abuja, May 4th 2018 – As the World prepares to celebrate the 2018 World Hygiene Day with the theme, “Save Lives, Clean Your Hands”, Mrs Toyin Saraki, the President and  founder of Wellbeing Foundation Africa (WBFA), today paid a courtesy visit to the Country Representative of the World Health Organization (WR) Dr Wondimagegnehu Alemu. 

The meeting was aimed at enhancing collaboration between WBFA and WHO on water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) campaign to improve basic hygiene practices in healthcare facilities and schools across Nigeria.

Lagos, 18th April, 2018 - A Regional Workshop with participants from 38 African countries and supported by World Health Organization (WHO) on the Global Surveillance and Monitoring System (GSMS) for substandard and falsified (SF) medical products opens in Lagos on 17 April 2018.

Sub-Saharan Africa contributes to over one third of all reports of suspected SF products received by WHO. Antimalarial and antibiotics are the most commonly reported products from Sub-Saharan Africa.
