13 December 2020 — One hundred and one (131) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 2444 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to six thousand, six hundred, and fifty-nine (6659). To date, five thousand, nine hundred, and fifty-five (5955) patients have recovered, including sixty-three (63) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is six hundred and forty- eight (648) and fifty-six (56) deaths. 

The new cases are in Kigali (84) from travelers from abroad put in quarantine, Musanze (20), Rubavu (11), Nyabihu (4), Gakenke (3), Kayonza (3), Kirehe (3), Rwamagana (1), Gatsibo (1), and Nyagatare (1); heightened vigilance is required everywhere. 

The COVID-19 prevention measures announced by the Government of Rwanda must continue to be rigorously observed, especially frequent hand-washing and physical distancing. In addition, face masks must be worn in public and multi-family compounds.
Withholding information related to contact tracing or COVID-19 symptoms, jeopardises public safety and will be punished in accordance with applicable laws.
