12 February 2021 — One hundred, and thirty-two (132) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 4230 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases seventeen thousand, and two hundred (17200). To date, thirteen thousand, nine hundred, and thirty-seven (13937) patients have recovered, including two hundred, and fifty-nine (259) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is three thousand, and twenty-seven (3027) and two hundred, and thirty-six (236) deaths. The 5 new deaths are male of 86, 82, 68, and 63 in Kigali, and 54 years old in Kayonza District.

The new cases are in Kigali (25), Kayonza (12), Nyaruguru (10), Gisagara (10), Nyamagabe (10), Muhanga (9), Karongi (7), Ruhango (7), Nyagatare (6), Kirehe (5), Ngoma (5), Ngororero (5), Gatsibo (4), Kamonyi (3),   Rusizi (3), Rwamagana (3), Gicumbi (2), Gakenke (2), Huye (2), Rulindo (1), and Nyamasheke (1); heightened vigilance is required everywhere.
 
The COVID-19 prevention measures announced by the Government of Rwanda must continue to be rigorously observed, especially frequent hand-washing and physical distancing. In addition, face masks must be worn in public and multi-family compounds.
Withholding information related to contact tracing or COVID-19 symptoms, jeopardises public safety and will be punished in accordance with applicable laws.
