15 March 2021 — One hundred and sixteen (116) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 2822 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases twenty thousand, three hundred, and two (20302). To date, eighteen thousand, six hundred, and thirty-five (18635) patients have recovered, including sixty-nine (69) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is one thousand, three hundred, and eighty-five (1385) and two hundred, and eighty-two (282) deaths. 

The new cases are in Gicumbi (24), Gisagara (21), Muhanga (12), Nyanza (9), Kigali City (8), Kayonza (8), Nyamagabe (7), Huye (6), Ruhango (5), Nyaruguru (5), Rulindo (4), Rubavu (3), Gakenke (2), Rusizi (1), and Karongi (1); heightened vigilance is required everywhere.

The COVID-19 prevention measures announced by the Government of Rwanda must continue to be rigorously observed, especially frequent hand-washing and physical distancing. In addition, face masks must be worn in public and multi-family compounds.
Withholding information related to contact tracing or COVID-19 symptoms, jeopardises public safety and will be punished in accordance with applicable laws.
