Dr Moeti focuses on "Transforming Africa's Health: Leaving No-one Behind"
Gaborone, Botswana - 05 October 2017: Dr Matshidiso Moeti, the WHO Regional Director for Africa, yesterday delivered a powerful presentation titled “Transforming Africa's Health: Leaving No-one Behind”, to an overflowing 200-seater conference auditorium at the University of Botswana.
She later took questions and interacted with the audience. Among the audience were the Assistant Minister of Health and Wellness, Honourable Makgalemele, Heads of Diplomatic Missions, Heads of UN Agencies and Development partners, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Botswana and staff, Senior government officials, Civil Society, Private Sector, Media, Academia and the general public.
Earlier, Dr Moeti had visited the Bontleng Clinic which offers integrated health services including HIV/AIDS and ART, SRH, Cervical Cancer screening and treatment including See-and-Treat and cryotherapy.
